THE CHALLENGES
The crown glazing as a design concept was faceted and in different planes. In addition to this, vertical fins which would align with the faceted shape, extending 1m away from the glass was to be created. The challenge was to achieve this complex geometry glazing with all bolts concealed and a glass-to-glass joint at the inclined point. We designed and developed a specialized multiwall glazing system & fin system which completely conceals the fixing arrangement and match the complexity of the design. We were supported by Gensler Architects at every stage of engineering and achieved the desired end result. The glazing work has been described by the Wipro Project Head as a “work of art”.
